A Quick Look
Port Lincoln based, Alternative Country ensemble El’ Devi has a rich history in their local music scene.
In 2011, to help develop the talented vocal ability and song writing skills of Johana Page, Pete The Greek – local Music Producer, Guitarist and Studio Owner formed a duo to fill a void in the local music scene… No Country Music. Over time both the music and the ensemble evolved. The addition of Chris Atkinson on percussion gave the group a uniquely deeper sound, you can hear this with the debut album on the song ‘Not That Kind’. For many years this was sound, nylon guitar, cajon, stompbox, bongos and layers of vocals. But the people wanted more. “Do you have a band? You know, with drums and bass?” someone said. They asked close friend, teacher and Guitar Virtuoso – Johnny Murray if he would come on board as Bassist and the band has never looked back.
El' Devi have toured all over South Australia playing for pub crowds, major events, fundraisers, weddings as well as in the middle of nowhere, from shearing sheds on stations to the back of million dollar yachts tucked behind remote islands for the better part of 8 years.
They’ve opened for the likes of Darryl Braithwaite, Suzi Quatro, Drapht, Adrian Eagle, The Angels & Shannon Noll at events like the RFDS Ball, the SALT Festival and the Red Hot Summer Tour
They are SO looking forward to expanding their horizons in 2020 also with the launch of their original album 'Once Upon a Gallow'!

Hot rock at Centenary Oval
Red Hot Summer Tour 2014
Almost 2500 people filled Centenary Oval on a scorching day when the mercury topped 45 degrees.
Local act Ethnic Cowboys were the first to rock the stage and thrilled their home town audience.
Followed by Shannon Noll, Russell Morris, The Black Sorrows, The Angels, fronted by Dave Gleeson, then Suzi Quatro, who did not disappoint.
